Amber of Highland Dale is a brindle registered Highland cow, AHCA #73525, born April 11, 2022, at Highland Dale in Missouri. Her coat is deep red with black highlights. Her dam is Gwendolyn AAA Quality and her sire is J Bar T’s Magnum Force. In November 2025 she had her first calf, Raine.

One of our three orphans

For her first years, we didn’t know who Amber’s mother was. She grew up in her own pasture with two other orphan heifers, Buttercup and Sam, and the three of them greeted us every time we visited. DNA testing through UC Davis later identified all three mothers. Amber’s turned out to be Gwendolyn. Today, Amber’s daughter Raine and Buttercup’s daughter Reason are best friends.

Spoiled by Beauford

Beauford Wilson, the patriarch of our farm, spoiled Amber with bananas and fresh fruit, and she still expects them.
